How Requests Are Handled

Submit the instrument model, serial number, range and last calibration date with the request. Include any known damage or error codes. The item is booked in, or a site visit is scheduled, only after a quotation is returned. Do not ship equipment to any address before a quotation is accepted — crating and freight instructions are confirmed separately. On-site requests should note machine access, power and probe configuration so a laboratory can scope the visit accurately.

Contact Details

General enquiries receive a direct reply. Where a price is needed the request moves to the quotation desk, and the response is issued in writing. The request a quote page lists what to include — send that much and the first reply is the quotation itself.

What to Include

Requests submitted above go to the desk that deals with them. Written detail travels with the message, which is why those are cleared faster than telephone enquiries. Where the subject is an existing job, include its reference number.

Have an item to price?

Send the item, the measurement points, the tolerances and the turnaround needed; the quotation follows in writing.
