Referral and Marketing Disclosure
Columbus CMM Calibration and Repair operates cmmcalibrationcolumbus.com as a marketing and referral website. It is not a calibration laboratory, and no CMM Calibration and Repair work is performed by the operator of this site.
Requests submitted through this site are passed to external laboratories. Those laboratories hold their own accreditation, maintain their own quality management systems, and issue certificates and reports in their own name. Which laboratory receives a request is selected on current accreditation and the scope of it, on capability demonstrated for the measurement requested, and on its record of delivery.
In connection with that introduction, the operator of this website is paid. That payment may take the form of a referral fee, a fixed fee for the use of this website, or a commission on work that is placed. It does not change the price you are quoted. It also gives the operator no role in performing, approving or certifying any measurement. The conditions of business carry the same disclosure. The commercial relationship behind this site is stated, not implied.
What This Site Records
What is collected falls into two categories, and neither is larger than the work requires.
- Request detail. Name, company, email address and telephone number; the item, the quantity, the measurement points and the tolerances; the standard required and the turnaround needed.
- Technical detail. The ordinary information a browser sends: IP address, browser and device type, the referring page, and the pages viewed on this site.
Payment card details are never collected here.
What Information Is Used For
Information supplied with a request is used to review that request, to obtain a quotation from a laboratory able to perform the work, and to correspond with you about it. Technical browser information is used to keep the site available and secure and to understand which pages are used.
Information collected here is not sold, and it is not rented, traded or supplied to third parties for their own marketing.
Who Receives It
Request detail reaches the laboratory or laboratories asked to quote or to perform the work. It also reaches the service providers behind this website — hosting, email delivery and analytics — who act on instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
Where the law requires a disclosure, it is made. Where an accreditation body exercises a right of access to the records of a laboratory performing work, that access is honored.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality attaches, on the accredited laboratory basis, to drawings, specifications, tolerances, measurement data and results. Only people who need the material to quote or complete the work are given access to it.
Where a compelled disclosure is made, you are told of it — unless telling you is itself prohibited.
Use of Cookies

Retention of Records

What is held about you can be viewed, corrected, or deleted on request, through the contact page. The answer comes within thirty days. Marketing email, should any be sent, carries an unsubscribe link, honored on receipt.
