What is general description here, and what is not.
General Information Only
These pages carry general, descriptive information. They exist so that a requester can understand what can be arranged and what a request should contain. Nothing published at cmmcalibrationcolumbus.com amounts to a technical specification, an engineering opinion, or a certificate of any kind.

Uncertainty and Conformity
Measurement results carry uncertainty, without exception. The result is meaningful only when it is read with three things:
- the measurement uncertainty stated on the certificate
- the conditions under which the measurement was made
- the method used
Statements of conformity record a pass or a fail against a tolerance, and rest on a decision rule agreed before the work is performed. Nothing published on this website states or implies a decision rule, an uncertainty figure, or a conformity outcome for any item.
How Results Are Reported
The certificate or report issued by the laboratory that performed the work is where results are reported, in the form in which it is issued. Nothing said while arranging work — by email or verbally — and no page of this website is a certificate of calibration, a report of results, or an amendment to either. Validity of a certificate is as a complete document, and it should be read as one.
Scope of the Accreditation Relied On
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is the standard the work described here is performed under. Where accreditation is referenced, the accreditation is that held by the laboratory performing the work, and it extends only to the measurements listed in that laboratory's published scope. Work falling outside a published scope is performed and reported as non-accredited work, identified as such on the certificate.
